Dr. Daniel Pinos Galindo
Maxillofacial surgeon, trained at the regional hospital of Malaga via MIR. During my apprenticeship, dentofacial alterations, rhinoplasty and blepharoplasty have generated great interest in me and led me to take several courses and internships in different centers, I made an expert in Orthognathic Surgery at the International University of Catalonia. Later a master in Orthognathic surgery at the University of Victoria in Madrid, in addition to several complementary courses for surgical planning at the Ortomax center in Madrid and rotation in the prestigious plastic surgery service of the Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan.
On the other hand, complementary to my training in orthognathic surgery, I completed several specific training programs for rhinoplasty and facial plastic surgery in London, France and later a Fellow Program at the American Hospital in Istanbul, together with Dr. Teoman Dogan, and mentoring programs with Dr. Fernando Nakamura, Marcelo Cury and Eduardo Linz in Brazil. My interest in this branch of maxillofacial surgery requires me to update myself every time and to be very meticulous in the planning of all our cases, which is the most important thing to obtain the results we want.

Frequently asked questions
What is blepharoplasty and what does it consist of?
Blepharoplasty is a cosmetic surgery that aims to correct excess skin and fat bags on the upper and lower eyelids. This procedure seeks to rejuvenate the appearance of the eyes, eliminating signs of aging and fatigue.
It is recommended for people who have excess skin on the upper eyelids, bags on the lower eyelids or both. Although it is more common in people over 40 years old, it can also be done in younger people.
How much does a blepharoplasty in Malaga cost and what is included in the price?
What type of anesthesia is used during blepharoplasty?
Blepharoplasty is usually performed under local anesthesia with sedation, allowing the patient to be relaxed and pain-free during the procedure.
In specific cases, general anesthesia may be chosen, depending on the complexity of the surgery and the preferences of the patient and surgeon.
Are there visible scars after blepharoplasty?
The incisions made during blepharoplasty are strategically placed in the natural folds of the eyelids, making scarring minimal and virtually imperceptible over time. In addition, the skin of the eyelids has an excellent healing capacity.
What is the postoperative period after blepharoplasty?
After surgery, it is common to experience swelling and some bruising in the eye area, which usually subsides in one or two weeks.
It is recommended to apply cold compresses, keep your head elevated and avoid intense physical activities during the recovery period. Most patients can return to their daily activities in about a week.
How long do blepharoplasty results last?
The results of a blepharoplasty are usually long-lasting. In the case of the upper eyelids, the effects can last for 10 years or more, while in the lower eyelids they are usually permanent. However, the natural aging process continues, so it is important to take care of your skin and follow healthy habits to prolong the benefits of the procedure.
